FROM THE U.S.A

*Updated October 4, 2011.

Karen’s blog is one of the first blogs I ever read. She is a very funny, talented writer and is someone I am proud to call a friend. Over the last few years she has experienced many life changes which she writes about at Life In The Dyke Lane. I am also honoured to write with her (about writing) at A Novel Place.

Heather is one of the best writers in the blogosphere in my humble opinion. She is passionate, eloquent and very funny. You can find out how good she is for yourself at I’m Not Hannah. You will also find her pagan blog very interesting. Check it out at Divining Women.

Groovy also writes one of the first blogs I ever read. She is a caring, kind person, and a devoted Mum who always brings a smile to my face. You can find her at Groovy’s Ruminations.

Meleah Rebeccah was one of the first people to comment on my blog ever. I’ll never forget the thrill I experienced when she left that comment. Meleah has experienced some major upheavals in her life but she always comes through with her sense of humour intact. You can find her at Momma Mia, Mea Culpa.

Steph is someone who I really relate to. She possesses a lot of empathy and sensitivity. I always enjoy her blog. You can find her at Absence and Presents.

Punatik was formerly living in Hawaii but is now in California. He writes Fragments Of Reality but not often enough for my liking. He is a beautiful poet.

Aine, also known as Texasblu writes Tiaras And Pirates. She talks a lot about her family and has taught me that people who share differing religious beliefs can find common ground and become friends. She also has a separate writing blog called Living In The Write World which outlines the trials many writers go through on the road to finishing that book. Good stuff.

Wendy writes Dream Fiction. Her writing often feels like it is a part of this huge dreamscape. It is evocative and moving. I am a big fan. You will enjoy her work.

Jason writes Fictional Mix Tape. His novel is famous on Twitter. He is one of the greatest guys I have met on the net and is responsible for the tagline on this blog ‘hard won hopefulness.’

Ms Squirrel is a force of nature and a force of fiction writing 100 stories in 100 days among other things. Always engaging, often profound, she is a very clever writer. You can visit her at The Querulous Squirrel.

Tina is a brilliant poet. She is wise and profound. I really enjoy her work. You can find her at Poetry Of Tina Trivett.

Tipota describes herself as a multi-disciplinary artist. She is a poet, a musician, an artist and so much more. Visit her at Spaces Between Trees.

Mama Zen writes The Zen Of Motherhood. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, always zen. Her daughter is really adorable.

Laura writes Serene Tabbie and speaks of life and family and nature. She is very crafty and often includes wonderful photos.

Chris is a musician, writer and all round great guy. You can read his blog at A Brighter Touch of Haze. He is also a great cook. Check out his cooking blog Cook With Fire.

Lissa is a very talented writer and photographer. She has recently started a new blog called A Chance Of Sunshine. She is one of my favourite fiction writers on the web.

Frances writes Simply Frances. She is a great writer and photographer and I just love hearing all about her life in New York. She also blogs at She Who Blogs. You should really check her out.

Sue writes Tumblewords. It is a fantastic poetry and art blog. If you like haiku and other wonderful poetry then this is the blog for you. The fractals are amazing.

Jonas writes At Twilight. He always makes me think, makes me appreciate the beautiful moments in life. He has a great love for music and film.

Josie writes Two Shoes In Texas. She has shown me that it is posible to bounce back from just about anything and start again. I enjoy her wisdom and outlook on life.

Tim writes Catnip from his home in the desert. Great poetry, great photos, great observations of life. He makes me say great a lot.

Vahid writes Iron Fist. He is such a lovely guy. He is one of the funniest guys on Twitter. When he includes photos with his posts they are brilliant.

Dave2 writes and draws Blogography. An extremely talented artist and writer, his blog is a real treat.

Britt is someone I have watched become successful on the internet and as a writer. She shows all of us it is possible to follow your dreams. She is witty, warm and passionate. Don’t go past Miss Britt.

Then there’s Nanna, Britt’s Mum. She is someone you would want to have as your friend because you know she’d always have your back. I have learnt a lot from this brilliant woman. You can find her at Raw Simple Living.

Faiqa is a brilliant writer. Very wise. Full of compassion and humour. Someone I would love to meet in person. You can read her blog over at Native Born.

Linda writes The Random Memorandum. She is funny and warm and her blog is definitely a real favourite of mine.

Attila The Mom (love it) writes Cheaper Than Therapy. She has had so many troubles re. the health of her son and I have been so inspired by the way she has dealt with things. She just never gives up.

Julie writes Julie Zickefoose. She is a talented photographer, environmentalist and lives in a lovely part of the world. Her dog, Chet Baker, is a celebrity on the internet.

Lisa  is a writer, actor, social activist and she loves chipmunks just like me. You can read her blog at Lisa Allender Writes.

Katherine writes Shoot Me Now. Love the humour. Love the stories about her kids and her life. A real highlight. Don’t miss it!

Shouts From The Abyss is an hilarious blog. Tom B Taker writes it and calls himself a demotivational specialist. His rants on Twitter and Facebook are just too funny!

Susan from Windrock Studio is an artist, creates amazing crafts and is a wonderful photographer. I really like her part of the world. Go and see what what I mean.

Klaus writes A Life Times Two. He is based in the Pacific North West for part of the year so I thought I’d include him among the American bloggers I read. He is an adventurer, philosopher, exceptional photographer and all round inspirational person. I am such a fan of his blog. You will be too!

She’s BACK!!! Bekki from Nectarfish – poet, photographer; she is quirky, jolly and fun. I love her blog. Her poetry is excellent.

Sons Of Thunder Patron is an excellent blog about cooking, music, poetry and hope. Definitely something for everyone. You should check it out!

I LOVE both of these blogs so much because they have donkeys. My cousin in Ireland has donkeys on her farm and they are the most adorable creatures ever. Obviously, I can’t have a donkey in the city so I get my donkey fix here:

* Morning Bray Farm

* The 7MSN Ranch

I know you will love the donkeys too!
