Christmas is about being with those you love; the baubles/tinsel/trees are of secondary importance. Usually, on my way to buy a paper, I pass a house which is ornately decorated with thousands of coloured lights . I know these people slightly; Christmas is unimportant to them; all they seem to care about is putting on a better show than the neighbours.
Oh yeah. Been there. I don’t know why people bother. Having fun and hanging out with your loved ones is more important. Have a fantastic New Year, Travelrat!

We just got our tree up in time, but no lights – we’re going to keep it up for a while as it snuck up on us this year and doesn’t really seem like Christmas to us – never mind, there’s always next year!

We had a cool little white tree given to us, the first we’ve had in many years.
Sure hope this coming year is sweet & calm … but interesting & exciting … for us all.
